my own attempts to make things happen... my own attempts even to make God's name be exalted in the world will fail. its not up to me to do it. its up to me to cease my own attempts and realize who God is, who i am through Him.
be still... cease your own attempts

I think that you are "thinking" too much about it all... don't think so much, just let it be. Just "watch" and pray. Enjoy life, try not to analyze everything, but just be in the moment. Enjoy, feel it, live it be it. You won't want to analyze it, you won't even want to write about it- because it is something beyond that - in everyway.
And, as far as giving God glory, give Him glory, but do it to Him and Him alone (at least try it for a while). I mean, be "private" with your worship, life is not a show.... it's your life. We aren't actors and actresses on a movie screen - you might feel that way, but we are very real. It isn't a joke, fantasy or something imagined...
