bmpoet... what does it stand for
in a creative writing class a few years ago... while i was a jr. in high school... we had to come up with alternative names to write under. since my initials are bmp, i decided to create a name from them. my name?
Beat Master's Poet.
i have long considered God my Beat Master... the one that i dance to, move to, live to. and as i love to write, whether it be in blogging, in stories, in songwriting, or even in spoken word poetry i became a poet. some would consider me good... others well, im not as creative as those geniuses of the past.
but the one thing that matters to me, is that when i write... i write for my Beat Master... my words are for Him and His purpose alone. i am a poet, a songwriter, a dancer, a painter, an actress, a singer, a daughter, a person once a slave now a friend, and i am above all a bride... a bride to my Beat Master and my words and my life... all of my strengths and weaknesses, loves and hates... belong to Him. thus my name and who i am

... not just writing to her own beat, but that of the Master.
